Spitfire
Shepherd Neame is Englands oldest brewery, founded 1698.
Spitfire was first brewed by Shepherd Neame In 1990 to mark the 50th anniversary of the contribution the Spitfire planes make during WII. Spitfire is a top fermenting classic ale and is brewed using traditional methods to deliver a light amber coloured beer with a distinctive aroma and taste.
Bigger taste in a smaller bottle – New 33cl bottles launched
Many of Spitfire’s consumers are women who prefer a smaller serving of beer, which goes hand in hand with the markets increasing demand for smaller packaging. The switch from 50cl to 33cl bottles was made at the Systembolaget in April of 2011 and now we’re doing the same in the supermarkets!
